Elisabeth and I talk with Joachim who lives in the UK and works in Germany. He has been vaccinated and tells us about how the Covid measures have been in Germany and the social divisions that have emerged there.
We talk about this in a time where the UK government seems to be withdrawing its plans for vaccine mandates for NHS and social care workers and plans to remove remaining Covid-19 restrictions. We reflect on the last 2 years, how the pandemic has been managed in both the UK and Germany; the one-sided rhetoric, the lack of debate about lock-down measures and the resulting social divisions. We consider how we might contribute towards a way of dialoguing that is inclusive and builds bridges between different viewpoints about how to manage our health.
We are hoping to talk with more people about their stories of the last 2 years and what we can learn from this.
